HORSE CAMPING WITH YOUR HORSES AT D&F

Service Description

Camp with your horses at D&F Pack Station D&F Pack Station offers horse camping at our stable. You can board your horse and also reserve a spot to park your rig ( truck/trailer) at D&F Pack Station. Our pens are made of welded smooth pipe, and measure 42 feet by 42 feet. Our wranglers will feed your horse whatever feed you bring ( whenever you are not there to feed). Your trailer has a parking spot too. Price for boarding your horse is $20 per day, but the price for camping varies according to your needs ( truck&Trailer or dry camping or tent or.... etc.....) Call us to get a discuss your needs and we will take care of you. Our altitude is 7,200 feet so your horse will acclimate quickly to ride in the thin air. Water is piped in directly from the creek ( Deer Creek) into the individual pen horse trough. The Kaiser Wilderness Trailhead ( Deer Creek Trailhead) is located 100 feet from our office, and has trails to the following areas & lakes: George Lake, Upper Twin Lake, Lower Twin Lake, Nellie Lake, College Lake, Jewel Lake, Walling Lake, Idaho Lake, Mary's Meadow, Kaiser Loop trail, College Rock, Hidden Lake cutoff, Potter Pass, Round Meadow, etc....... D&F Pack Station also runs a spike camp at Badger Flat parking lot ( near badger flat campground) that is located at the trailhead which goes in 2 different directions: The first direction is towards Dinkey Lakes Wilderness ( Weldon's camp, Rock Meadow, First Dinkey Lake, Second Dinkey Lake, Mystery Lake, Coyote Lake, Rock Lake, Cliff Lake, South Lake, Swede Lake, Island Lake, The " Three Sisters Peaks ( and the bastard sister too...). Black Peak dominates the dinkey lakes area and is a good reference point. The second direction is towards Upper Twin Lake, George Lake, Walling Lake, Idaho Lake, Round Meadow, Sample Meadow, Kaiseer Creek, etcetera............................. We do offer long term boarding as well as short term boarding ( per day ). Short term boarding is $20 per day, but for long term boarding, call us for availability & pricing. As for the camping, call us so we can discuss your rig size ( gooseneck, bumper pull, 5th wheel, etc....................). We are accustomed to having really big rigs at the pack station so we make sure there is plenty of turn around room for rigs, and have lots of complete circle tracks so you don't have to back up much.
